Most laptops allow you to plug in an external keyboard, which would be the easiest way to solve your problem.
I'd check your computer documentation and see if it will allow one, mine has a PS/2 connection that will accept either a PS/2 Mouse or a PS/2 Keyboard. A PS/2 Keyboard and a USB Mouse should work fine.

I had a virus on my computer, so i started deleting programs that i didn't need and must of deleted too much because i lost all my desk top icons. I tried to restore my system with my restore discs but keep getting an error with that too. I tried running the disc from the task manager but it gets stuck on the initial screen that sais "windows installing". Not sure where to go from here

have just installed a new server, kept the same name as the old. When I tried to logon as 'me' on my laptop it wouldn't let me although I believe I set the server user as me correctly. I logged in as administrator and could create a new profile OK and log onto the Small Biz server 2003 (same version) all ok. My previous logon is still on the laptop but the question is (because I want all my profiles, outlook etc etc) how can I find out what my original logon was and how can I get back onto it?
